EMPLOYER TOOLKIT ON SPECIALTY PHARMACY
The Midwest Business Group on Health (MBGH)released a online toolkit to support employers in better understanding and managing specialty pharmacy benefits. This toolkit provides employers with information, best practices, and resources to assists employers in better understanding the basics and economics of Specialty Pharmacy and related benefits; supports employers in effectively contracting and partnering with their PBMs, Health Plans and Specialty Pharmacies and help employers understand the importance of managing their at-risk populations and communicating specialty benefits to their covered population.
LOUISIANA DRUG CARD
Your employees and their families have access to a statewide Prescription Assistance Program. They can create and print a FREE discount prescription drug by visiting www.louisianadrugcard.com or LBGH members can order hard cards from firstname.lastname@example.org. This card will provide individuals with Rx medication savings of up to 75% at more than 56,000 pharmacies across the country including CVS/pharmacy, Kmart, Brookshire’s, Fred’s, Albertans Sav-on Target, Winn-Dixie, Walgreens, Walmart, Weis, and many more. Employees and their families can create as many cards as they need. We encourage employees to share the website with friends and family members. This card is pre-activated and can be used immediately!
